Shinas, Oman – July 4, 2024- Shinas Port was honored to welcome a high-level delegation today, including His Excellency Eng. Saeed bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT), His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Suleiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, and His Excellency Sheikh Abdallah bin salem Al Hajri, Shinas Wali, accompanied by several officials and specialists. The purpose of the visit was to review Shinas Port operation and development progress, discuss the challenges faced by the operator and other stakeholders, and outline future development plans.
This visit underscores the importance of Shinas Port in Oman’s maritime infrastructure and its role in regional economic growth. The visit began with a roundtable discussion where QSM, the operator of Shinas port management, along with the officials and specialists, explored solutions to current challenges and discussed potential new infrastructure projects, investment opportunities, and strategies to further improve the port operations. Shinas port presented recent achievements and shared key statistics, highlighting the significant strides made to enhance operational efficiency and infrastructure.
Following the discussion, the delegation toured the port facilities to assess the advancements made in various projects and identify areas for improvement.
